Picnic in the Park

This coming Sunday our home group will be meeting at Doornbos Park in Nederland.  The address is 2301 Avenue H in Nederland.  (click here for a Google Maps location)  We'll be there from 6:00-7:30pm, and everyone is bringing their own picnic supper for their families.

However, if you bring chocolate chip cookies, Jeff and Lindsay will be happy to share them with you.

Thanks for checking in! We had a great first meeting yesterday at the home of Jeff and Teena Phillips.

Our word for the night was “Character”, and the truth to consider was Character is who you are when no one is watching. We looked at a moment in the life of Joseph (in Genesis 39) when he was faced with a decision that tested his character. It was possible that no one would have known if he made the unwise choice; however, Joseph knew that God would know, and the thought of dishonoring God was unacceptable, even if he could have “gotten away with it.”
